The problem
Running a small business is extremely hands on, and it’s time consuming.
Answering enquiries. Juggling bookings. Posting content. Chasing the numbers at the end of the month.
Being stuck in the day to day manual tasks takes time away from the high level strategy that actually grows the business.
What I built
Elon is an agentic assistant that handles the back office for two UK service businesses.
- handles customer enquiries
- coordinates scheduling
- picks and posts Instagram content every day, straight from Google Drive
- runs finance workflows, including VAT calculations and accounts
- sends reports so nobody has to build them
I talk to it through Telegram, like I would a member of staff.
How it’s built
- Python and n8n for the workflows
- Claude and ChatGPT APIs with tool and function calling
